    Craftsman 16.5 Lawn Tractor
I have recently replaced the mower clutch cable on my 16.5 HP Craftsman LT1000 lawn tractor with a 42" deck. After doing so, the transmission to the tractor will not engage. All the belts seem to be in place. I did not replace the clutch carriage bolt yet, as indicated by the instructions, after replacing the cable. Will this prohibit the transmission/clutch from engaging? Prior to replacing the mower clutch cable, the transmission/clutch was working properly. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is a odd problem indeed.. the cable you replaced is not catching olt to anything underneath?
