    Draft inducer humming
The draft inducer on my furnice is stuck or something, it makes a humming noise for an extended period before the heat kicks on. The blower, the heat ignition everything is fine. It also seems like it starts too frequently.

Does the inducer motor run at all? If not, see if it will run by giving it a nudge while it is humming (should be an arrow showing proper rotation) and see if it starts running. If it does, it could mean that the bearings are gummed up or there is some other obstruction in the motor.

    Good luck,
