    Ant extermination
I keep having problems with ant mounds on my lawn and walkway. I have tried Seven dust, grits and a few other things. The ants just abandon the mound and build a new one a few feet away. How do I get rid of the ants for good?

Look closely at the label of the next ant control product you buy. Bait products seem to work better than others, and move the hills around a lot less.

Read the label closely, as some baits work better if applied on top of the hill while others should be applied in a ring around it.

The best time to apply ant baits is just after a long rain. The ants have been inside the hill waiting on the rain to stop, using up their food reserves. Giving them bait products when they're looking for new food reserves makes the baits work faster.
