A widower with small children wishes to marry in pakistan
    Dear sirs,

I am a British born citizen of Pakistani origin. I am educated, working, have some savings and share a house with my brother. My first wife was from pakistan, we have two small children and she died January 08.

Can I marry in pakistan and bring my wife over as a stepmother, is the immigration process the same or can it be shortened (visa, ILR, citizenship).

I understand current rules dictate that following marriage (in pakistan) the non UK citizen wife must remain in Pakistan for a period before visa application can be made, is this correct.

All advice regarding this scenario will be appreciated.

    Regards

Apply for spouse visa, she must wait for visa interview in Pakistan, can't be immediate.
