    Sick Puppy
On Friday night my puppy (10 month old beagle) was suddenly really lathargic, wobbly, practically falling over. We took her to the vet and they admitted her for the night. Pumped her full of fluids and she was released the following day, back to her old self. The vet figured she ate something toxic and his was why she was like this. She has been fine since we got her back, running around playing like normal. We have not taken our eyes off her and suddenly she woke from a nap, threw up, and now has the same symptoms she did on Friday. Eyes are glazed over, wobbly, and lathargic. We are about to take her back to the vet. Any ideas what this is about??

Did they do bloodwork? SOunds like she could have a metabolic issue. Maybe diabetes? Any plants in the house?

Guesswork? Yes. However, they are going to their vets and they did ask. I do work for a vet and am just trying to make an educated guess to comfort them. Just trying:o

Thanks for responding. She was admitted to the hospital last night and pumped with fluids (same as Friday night). Her blood work and neurology tests came back fine, everything was OK with her except her heart rate was a little low. We can pick her up now or she can stay until this evening. We have decided to let her stay in case she relapses back to her "drunken" state as she did last night. Out vet seems to think whatever she ate on Friday was not completely out of her system... hopefully it is now.
