    Attraction anr repulsion- Electrostatics
    Nick finds his shirts are clinging together when he removes them from a clothes-drier. This results from the static charges in the clothes that build up during drying. Nick needs to exert a force o0.5 N to pull apart 2 articles of clothing. Calculate the charge on each. Assume the charges are equal and that the distance between the two articles is 0.8mm

    I wrote the whole question out. Explaining would be nice for this question. Thx =)

    I think that you have to consider the problem as being a simple one, requiring a few steps only.



    Use that. The charges are equal, so Q1 = Q2. The force is 0.5 N. r^2 is the separation.

    Do you have the answer with you? (I too am getting started with electrostatics :o)
