    Sewage in basement
Hello all, I just recently (about 2 weeks ago) had the trap in my basement replaced.I went into my basement about a hour ago and noticed sewage was all over the basement floor by the drain near the trap. The plumber that fixed the trap snaked out the drain after the trap was fixed so what could be causing the drain to backup with sewage again? The water goes back down the drain but I can't for the life of me figure out why sewage is coming back up out of the drain. Can anyone give me any advice please? Thank you in advance for any help!

If the water drians good, then pour a 1/2 gal. Of bleach down into the drain and let it set over night. Next morning flush the mess down with 2 large pans of boiling water, and run some more water, good luck.

What drain did he snake out? Why did it need to be snaked?

What drain are you talking about?
Can you be more specific? Tom
