    If I am making pancakes using self raising flour do I need to sift it first?

    You shouldn't need to.
    If you sift it they will be fluffier than if you didn't so it depends on how fluffy or how heavy you like pancakes.

    WOW, really? I didn't know that, not that I make pancakes a lot, but I usually just sift to get out impurities. (sp? Again)
