    Tarnishing on gold plating
    Hi

    Please could anyone help.

    In laymans terms what causes tarnishing on gold plating at 0.6 microns.

    If it was real gold, plating or not, it wouldn't tarnish. Since it is tarnishing, my guess is that it's brass or another metal.
