    Member is to shareholder
    As
    LLC is to corporation.

For-profit corporations don't have members, they have shareholders.
Non-profit corporations may, depending on how they are organized, have members.

There is a clear difference between member and shareholder, every shareholder can be a member but every member cannot be shareholder, any person whose name in entered in the registered of member can become member, but not shareholder and every person who take share in a company become member, in case of a company limited by guarantee and having no share capital there is no shareholders.
