    An exeption occurred
    On startup I get the message,An exeption occurred while trying to run "c:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll,nvstartup"
    I am a complete novice/idiot.
    Help please.

    Downloading and reinstalling the nvidia drivers should resolve this

    Try option 2 first
    Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

    Just tried option 2
    Did a restart,fingers crossed it seems to be fixed.
