I'm curious. I'd like to know what Wicca is more about. I read that Wiccans are all about the good. And how they harm none.

It sounds very fascinating and I hope someone can explain more about it to me. And the difference with pagans?

I have heard of some wiccans that incorporated Christianity into their beliefs to a certain degree. The main thing is the belief of two god elements instead of one, feminine as well as masculine. It's a very loose religion that allows you to really best form it around your own beliefs however there are certain elements of both that could make them hard to combine.

You can find a plethora of information online as well as a selection of wicca books in most large bookstores such as Booksamillion or Barnes and Nobles.

I guess a person can call thierself anything they want, but no there can not be a Christian wicca

Wicca is actually a subset of paganism, much like catholicism (I picked catholicism simply because it's the first one that came to mind) is a subset of christianity. It is earth-based and does focus on doing good works. There are also types of wicca, like there are types of catholicism. If you want an overview of paganism in general I can probably find you a list of pagan religions. For now I will just stick to the basics of wicca.

- That says it all... while reasearching, if you come across any negative or hurtfull words, that is not Wicca. Harm none is what we preach...

I know very little about wicca,however I do know someone who does practice this.

It seems that it's all about worshiping nature... things around them.

I have never heard them associate christianity with their believes, having known them for many years.

One of their favourite phrazes is... what goes around comes around.

My own feeling is that they remind me very much of pagans... festivals etc.

Whilst I know they are supposed to profess good nature and so on, I do know that these people have done some very unkind revengeful acts, not to mention illegal.

Having said this I know there is good and bad in everyone no matter what their beliefs are, as FR Chuck said, you can call yourself what ever you wish.

I have read and done a lot of research on Wicca/ Paganism. Like most people on here have said it is a nature based religion and I want to add that a true Pagan or Wiccan lives by do as ye will but harm none. They will never force you to do any thing you don't want to do, they do not believe in the devil or in satin, they do not believe in harming themselves or any living thing around them. In fact there are a lot that are strict vegans, also if you are drawn to this religion it is most certin that you explore this religion even if you choose not to practice it will give you a wonderful knowledge. I have been practicing wicca since I was 12 years old. My closest family friend is a recognised priestess. The religion does revolve around nature, gods and goddesses, we do not believe in hurting people (though there are always people who use the guise of a religion but go against all they believe.) The wiccan rede goes as follows (it is long I warn you, some people prefer the short version)

Bide within the Law you must, in perfect Love and perfect Trust.
Live you must and let to live, fairly take and fairly give.

For tread the Circle thrice about to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be said in rhyme.

Light of eye and soft of touch, speak you little, listen much.
Honor the Old Ones in deed and name,
Let love and light be our guides again.

Deosil go by the waxing moon, chanting out the joyful tune.
Widdershins go when the moon doth wane,
And the werewolf howls by the dread wolfsbane.

When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two.
When the moon rides at Her peak then your heart's desire seek.

Heed the North winds mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the Wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.
