Goodman Heater issue
Hi I have GMP075-3 model of a Goodman gas furnace. The heater would make the sounds that it was beginning to work. I could see the ignitor light but then nothing else would happen. The repair guy came and said the Burner roll-out limit was somehow tripped the other day. Possibly from a down draft from the chimney. When he was here it lighted and blew several times after he reset the limit. It ran well that day. The next day, it was much warmer outside so I turned the unit off. Now I have the same problem.
Can I reset the limit myself? Where is it located? What would it look like? What do I need to do?
I would rather try to reset it myself so that if I need to call for a repair I can give more diagnostic information... how long it was running for... what temp I had the thermostat set for.
If anyone can advise me on anything in this situation, I would be grateful.

You could try killing power to the whole unit. If that doesn't work, I hope Northern heat drops in with a better answer soon.

Goodman/Janitrol GMP model huh. Get a qualified service tech to check the rivets in the heat exchanger. If the furnace is more than 6 years old they are probably all broken. Pieces of junk I don't know how they didn't get sued out of business.
But that's just my opinion. Besides I really do like them, it means a lot of sales.

I recently replace my water heater with a tankless water heater. I purchase the Aquastar 250SX gas unit. The unit works great if I'm running hot water only. It will continuously give me hot water as long as I want it. However, when I want to reduce the tempurature by turning on the cold water,...

My Goodman furnace will light and then go out. This will occur 3 times, then will quit running. The control board blinks 1 time and tells me to Check Gas flow, gas pressure, gas valve, and flame sensor. It seems to have gas going to the valve. Could this be a bad gas valve? Or a bad Flame...

I have a goodman furnace. Forced air. No a/c. I turn the power on and she starts. Thermostat is off. No wires are crossed that are visible. The pilot does not ignite but the heating element is on. No gas seems to be coming through. Any suggestions? The furnace is only a year and a half old.
