    Visit the county assessor's office for information about who owns the house and property.

    You have to talk to the owner of the house. All property has a owner.

    You go to the recorder of deeds and find out who owns it, if there is any liens on it and more.

    You go to the property tax office and see if there is tax owed on it, who the tax bill is being mailed to.
