    Alphabetizing for Filing
    What would be the appropriate filing order for the following:

    The Lake Doctors, Inc.
    L & K Building Maintenance

    Single letters are filed first.

    L& K would be first.

    My confusion is the following:

    L & K
    Lake Doctors, Inc. The

    Isn't L & K considered as one name in alphabetizing? If so, then wouldn't the "&" be spelled out for alphabetizing purposes (L and K)? If so, then wouldn't Lake come before L and K?
