Bail jumping and flight to avoid prosecution
My brother got himself into some trouble about 6 years ago, he was charged with; possiesion, manufacturing, intent to deliver meth, he got out on bail and ran, we have not seen him since then, but he calls every now and then, when we asked him why he ran he told us that the man he was working for was supplying a judge and a couple of the local cops meth and he tried to make a deal to turn this man in and the other guy found out so he says that he ran out of fear of his life, he has told us that since then he has cleaned up his act and no longer messes with drugs but is still afriad to come back, my question is how long will he have to run is there a statue of limit for this, Will he ever be safe again ?

Warrants don't expire he would always have to run if he doesn't want to turn himself in.

    Hello again, red:

He can hire a lawyer. He can expect to be put on trial for the crime he committed, and who knows what will happen?

Sorry twinkle, I deleted your answer, it was totally wrong and I did not want them to get a wrong direction

A warrant will never expire, and once he jumps bail he can be arrested and brought back till the day he dies.

There is no way to clear this up without coming back.

The longer he is on the run, the worst it may go in court, his new life may help in sentencing but not on being guilty

Thanks for the grate info I have passed it on and he says he wants to turn himself in but knows that the crupted pepole are still in power so he wants to hide a little while longer to make enough money ( legaly ) to pay for a good lawer, he wanted to know if he was on the other side of the states from where its from if chances of not getting experdited back would decrease as many years has past
