10,000 - 33 1/3 ; a very basic subtraction problem. Start with 10,000 - 33 first. Then subtract another 1/3. That'll leave you with the next lower whole number plus 2/3.

I got lost after I subtracted 10,000 from 33 lol. This isn't a school problem. My mom wants to know. She asked me and I told her I wouldn't know how to type in the 1/3 in the calculator

Depending on your calculator, if your calculator has a fraction key it probably looks something like Ab/c. If so, then put it in as 33 Ab/c 1 Ab/c 3. If your calculator has no fraction key, then put it in as (33 + 1/3), parentheses and all. Use the divide key as the / key.

    33 1/3 minus 10,000

    Or 10,000 minus 33 1/3

1/3 means 1 ÷ 3 which is 0.33~, and you'd punch in a fraction on your calculator with the "a b/c" key in the bottom left (usually). Or, just type "10,000 - 33 1/3" in Google and use their calculator.

    And just for kicks,
    10,0000 - 33.333 = 9, 966.67~

If she said 33 1/3 - 10,000, it could mean someone has $33 1/3, and if you subtract $10,000, they are in Debt?
