    Post root canal
I had a root canal done yesterday morning on the last molar, upper left side (not wisdom tooth). On the 4th root, the dentist popped through the tooth (I could feel it and the drill temporarily got stuck). I am still having the same amount of pain and throbbing in the area, which I was told could last a few days. I just wanted to find out if going outside the tooth created any additional threat of infection, abscess, etc.

    Thank you.

    Hi
Yeah going out the root could cause infection in the area because it spread the bacteria from the root canal to out side the tooth causing periodentitis.
But there is possibility that the canal is not cleaned completely and some of the pulp is left and this could cause pain too
Or fracture in the root canal could occur when the instrument stuck
U should go and see your dentist
    And thanks
