When I opened my auto repair shop in the early 90's I passed out coupons giving very large discounts on my oil change service. I was careful not to give out too many before the expiration date on the first batch and so forth.Public parking lots and neighbors in the area of the shop is where I started. When a coupon was redeemed(I printed my own coupons by the way)I pointed out what services I offered. If that customer was happy and impressed with my service and prices they told others of course.I got many customers that way and managed to keep most of them until I retired and sold the shop a few years ago.Maybe this idea will work for you as well.I also sponsored a local Little League baseball team which got my business known around the community. They happened to win the championship in the league the first year I did it and that really helped even though I put out a lot of money for team jackets.I know the parents and league appreciated that and my business did quite well over the years also.
