I am trying to replace a leaky hose and I am having trouble disconnecting the hose to faucet connection.

Hi Jicardi:

The only 3 ways I know of connecting/disconnecting a sprayhose to a faucet is:

1) screw/unscrew.

2) clip/unclip (2nd image... squeeze tips and push outward)

3) push on/pull off by pushing on the plastic ring.. see image (although not showing a sprayhose the principle is the same for a sprayhose connected in this manner).

If this doesn't help you, please answer Afaroo's question and we'll see what we can come up with.

Pfister - not sure of model... there is no hex nut. The copper ending fits into a small barrel fixture and the small barrel fits onto the faucet. The barrel rotates in either direction... I thought it might unscrew but it did not... the barrel does slide slightly north and south but there appears to be no quick disconnect mechanism... any ideas?

Here is a couple more pictures... maybe they will help (use a flashlight):

The first Price pfister type has clips that get squeezed (top image)... but you said no tabs so I'm thinkin' it may be like the other image below.

The second barrel type connector should have a plastic ring on top of the barrel... pull down on the ring and then pull down on the barrel fitting... should release (bottom image). You may need to push up on the entire barrel before pushing the ring in... then pull down.

Mark is correct it has clips and needs to squeezed and pull, good luck.
