    High acid content?
Does anyone know if you can get pregnant with a high acid vagina? (ph imbalance) or does it destroy the sperm? We are trying to conceive without going to a fertility specialist and a lot of inventions/medications. :( (BTW I don't know if that is my issue or not (high acid) I'm just assuming because when we have sex he is sore afterwards and it's not due to dryness but it seems like I constantly have yeast infection and it's not due to being dirty... just for some of the ones who will answer being a smarta$$). Any answers? Thank you!

Did you know also, tampons, perfumed soap and douching could affect your pH?
Proper internal pH is between 3.8 to 4.2 that is essential to a healthy vaginal PH

But it would be unlikely to kill sperm. Sperm are naturally alkaline (they neutralize acid) and buffer the vaginal acidity for several hours after intercourse.

Those things I've mentioned before could be causing you constant Yeast infection, Are you self diagnosing your yeast infection? Or did the doctor tell you? The other cause for an off balance PH, could be BV, bacterial vaginosis, and needs a different medication than to treat a Yeast infection.

Cranberry is a good and natural way to maintain a healthy internal pH AND urinary tract function

All in all, sex douching, perfumed soaps, tampons, can all affect your PH, Overgrowth of lactobacillus, the normal "friendly" bacteria, may cause the vagina to be more acidic than usual. But I would suggest you visit an OBGYN to rule out any serious infection as, an infection that goes untreated can cause some fertility problems.

Well I self diagnosed it and went to the dr and she then diagnosed it also with an exam, this time it was antibiotics due to a sinus infection so I know the cause this time and she put me on pills to get rid of it and so far it worked; also she told me to buy vagasil for my hubby to keep from breaking out. She's not that much help when it comes down to it! but all in all, I don't use tampons, douche but once a month (after I get the infection) or perfumed soaps (due to the infections/sensitive skin) and been trying to have a baby for the past 2 years with temp taking and such, and still no luck. And all she can say is to take temp more and then go to a fertility dr or pills and I kind of didn't want to go down that road.

You need to take a probiotic to replace the good bacteria that the antibiotics/pills take out.
If you don't you are going to keep having a reocurring infection.

Well, the other option I can suggest is temping, tracking your cycles, and using ovulation prediction kits. Its really hard to say what the root cause is without you getting a full exam from your OBGYN, your significant other can also have a low sperm count. I mean I really don't know many factors can play a role.
