    Inflammation in my dog's neck
A couple days ago my dog started making coughing/heavy breathing noises. The next morning he had a large kind of inflammation from his throat. At that point it was solid to touch. As of today it is much softer, like it's all liquid. It just hangs from his neck. It doesn't seem to be painful for him when we touch it, but he is very lethargic and won't eat or drink. We cannot get him into the vet until Thursday. Any info, advice, or help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think this can wait - You need to get him to a VET ASAP. When a dog stops eating AND drinking it's serious. Please go immediately.

    I agree with teachnk...
If your vet says they cannot fit you in you need to INSIST that your dog be seen to that day!
I have had this problem a few times in the past and we just kept insisting until the reception "found time" in the schdule.

If you have no success with this call an emergency vet in your area. There is usually at least one in every city/town.
