    Could I be?
    Hello,

My husband and I have decided it is time to start a family. I had a period on September 6th, took my pills for 5 days, and messed up on them. At that point, my husband and I decided to just quit taking them and try for a baby. I then had a period on Sept 18th. My breasts have been extremely sore and swollen for the past month. I went to the doctor and took a blood test on October 6th, and it was negative for HCG. Does anyone think there is a possibility that I could be pregnant and it was just too early for the pregnancy hormone to show up in the blood test? My breasts have never hurt this bad, and they are getting noticibly bigger. They hurt far worse than they hurt when I am getting ready to start my period. Not to mention they have been hurting for almost a month now. Could there be another reason that my breasts hurt so bad? Maybe not being on the pill anymore??

    Thanks,

    Miranda

It could be due to the lack of hormone that the pill provides, however, it sounds as though you may need to take another test in a week or so. It is possible that the HCG level was too low.

In the meantime treat yourself as if you are pregnant. Eat healthy get lots of sleep etc.
