I was wondering if I can apply for portuguese passport through portuguese embassy without going back to my home country (goa , india) since my mother has been recently registered as a portuguese citizen.please tell me if there are any chances or ways of doing it.thanks

Yes it is possible to put in your papers at Portuguese Consulate in UK since your mother's birth is registered. But before that you need to make sure your mothers marriage to is registered only than can you as a child apply for the same.
