    Can I donate my plasma if I have type 2 diabetes?

    It isn't the fact that you have type 2 diabetes, but the fact that people in this category usually have high blood pressure and heart related issues which disqualifies you from giving blood. The feeling is that giving blood with this condition might effect blood glucose levels and a hypoglycemic condition after.

    Those taking insulin to control either type l or 2 are not eligible to give blood.
