    I don't know what "7st 13" means...

But at your age, you should focus on eating healthy foods; including lots of fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats, and foods rich in calcium. Get plenty of rest and stay active. Your body will catch up. You're still very young and some "baby fat" is normal. Concentrate on being healthy first.

Starving yourself will NEVER work and is very dangerous.

If you don't eat, your body will go into starvation mode. That means that as soon as you DO eat something (which eventually you will HAVE to), your body will hold onto every little bit of what you eat.. then you will gain back everything that you lost and more.

If you want to lose weight, you have to eat... but you have to eat healthy. You also have to stay active. Exercise is KEY. Stay active... very active! You will burn off any excess fat that comes with eating. If you are active enough, you can (and will want to) eat a LOT of food. But as long as you eat healthy and continue to exercise or stay active, you won't gain any weight back.

And honestly, you will be in GOOD shape, which is much more attractive than the anorexic, skin-and-bones look

The best way to lose weight (if you really need to), is to drop the junk food and white carbs (sugar, white flour, pasta) and eat more vegetables, especially green ones, quality protein like fish, meat, eggs, fruit, nuts and some wholegrains. Try to eat whole foods (things that come from the green grocer, butcher and fish monger) and not things that come in boxes or packets with long sell-by dates. Ditch the chips, pizza, cake, biscuits, fizzy drinks etc.

Be more active. Walk as much as possible, take the stairs, ride a bike if you have one. Switch off the television except for specific programmes. Watching TV tends to make you fat. Go to bed on time. Lack of sleep makes you fat too.

Actually, 7stone is pretty low for your age. Unless you are really tiny (less than 5 foot) you probably don't need to lose weight. What size is your waist?

How long did you try for? What kind of exercising?

A lot of people expect immediate results... or they think they are eating right or exercising right when they clearly are not.

    It is science... it works.

You are 14... that is going to come into play a bit here and I am not very sure just how. But if you are really committed to losing weight and getting in shape, see a specialist... someone that can teach you what it means to eat healthy and REALLY exercise.

Ok, I was wondering that too because I've never heard that measurement.

You sound pretty active so it also is likely that you carry a good bit of muscle weight.

Why are you trying to lose weight? I'm shorter than you, I weight a little more, and my dr still says that my weight is healthy. Plus, because you seem to be so active I imagine a good amount of your weight is muscle. And muscle weighs more than fat. Only drinking tea is a very bad idea. Like the others said, it will ultimately slow down your metabolism because your body thinks its being starved, which it is if you're not eating. Drjizzle had great advice for seeing a specialist and truly being in good shape.

"Skinny" isn't good. Healthy is what you should try to attain.

Well that's why you should see a specialist... if what you've tried isn't working maybe its time to try something else. A specialist could help you come up with a healthy diet and exercise plan.

Yeah but my mum wouldn't like the fact that I am 'dieting' so I can't exactly go and see a specialist
