    Moving to England?
I'm debating moving to England for 6 months next year come April. I'm looking to rent in a shared situation or into my own flat, but don't want to put down a deposit until I arrive or any money for that matter. Does anyone know what I would do in this situation? Most people want money up front to secure the spot, how are the English, hesitant, forthcoming and willing to work w/ you? Help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance... clbelden.

Well seeing as the landlor/lady won't know ou at that stage I very much doubt you'll be able to pay when you move in as generally they do want an upfront deposit so that they can stop looking /advertising for tennants.

You don't have to put a deposit down until you get to england as long as you don't expect to move straight in the day you arrive.
