MY girlfriend wants to take a break?
Ok I have been going out with my girlfriend for about half a year now and we are both in high school. One day she randomly says OK I have to tell u.. I think I need some space to think for awhile and see what I really want? She says she still likes me but what do I do in this case. Do I ignore her when I see her in the halls? And never text or call?

You can say hello when you see her.To pretend she isn't there would be rather foolish.
No texting and no emails,no calls. No Contact.
It is the best way to survive a break-up or a time out.

Had to spread rep. Artlady said it all.
You got to show her that you respect her time and space. Just don't say more than you have to. Keep the conversations as short as possible. Nothing unncessary.
When she figures out what she wants, she will find you. In the meantime, you should get on with your life. Don't sit and dwell about the situation, it will only make you miserable.

Yes,you say hi ,to make believe she is invisible would be immature but avoid any other contact.

Yes, always be polite. Say hi, but keep moving along. You are busy. You have things to do.
It's normal to miss her, but you got to respect her wishes.
Good idea, hang out with your friends!

Well if she wanted space, then she would automatically sit away from you anyway.
I'm sure you have other friends to sit with. This is a good chance for you to re-bond with the friends that you didn't get a chance to hang out with because you were spending a lot of time with her. Otherwise, you can make new friends too.

Don't let her see your suffering so yes you don't be nasty towards her when you see her. Just say hi and keep it moving.

Yes,it is a bad idea.
Maybe some time in the future you can be friends that way but it is too soon to play the friend game.
Too much emotion still going on to do that.

If you happen to see her, a simple hello would suffice and carry on with your day. Besides that don't contact her. Give her some space so she can think and make a clear decision without you clouding her decision. Personally I wouldn't want to be with someone who is confused if they love me or not. They should be sure.

You shouldn't wait for her. What if she never comes back?
I say go on with your life and if she does come back and by that time if you haven't found anything better it is up to you if you want to give it another try.

Well if she says it's over... it's not a break anymore, it's a break.
You can move on with your life now.

I've taken that you're new at this relationship thing.
First of all "break" = "break up"
Second of all, we are talking from experience and if you want to find out the hard way with all the pain, go right ahead and be my guest.

How does she ask for a break and still tell you that it's over and to look for new girls?
Read between the lines. She just trying to be nice by sugar coatings things by telling you she wants time and space, but it is giving you false hope instead. A girl doesn't tell their bfs to go find other girls if they only need time to sort out their personal issues.
You didn't do anything. She just had a change of heart. She doesn't feel the same way about you as she did before.
I'm sorry you have to hear this, but the sooner you come to terms with this, the sooner you can move on and heal from this experience.

Many times when someone wants to break-up,they think it is kinder to the other person to say they "want space".
In reality that is simply a nice way to let you down.
Clearly,if she was that into you,she would be with you.Shes not.
Go on with your life and if you find someone else you want to date, you are a free man and you can do what you want.
You don't have a girlfriend anymore.

She wants you to be there for her as a back up plan in case she doesn't find better. Should you go for other girls? It is really up to you. There are girls that won't want a break from you and will love you more than this girl.
