    H1b application documents required
    Hi
    I am about to file my H1B for this year.
    I have a minor spelling mistake in my Higher Secondary school marksheet.
    Actual Spelling - Prathibha
    Spelling in the Higher Secondary Marksheet - Prathiba ('h' is missing)

    All my other documents (passport, degree certificates, H4 visa etc) have my exact correct spelling.
    So how will I proceed in this situation ? Will this affect my chance of getting H1b approved ?
    Please suggest me some good solution at the earliest.

    Affidavit to explain the spelling error. Not a problem, the USCIS looks at your baccalaureate degree. Move quickly to file, the numbers are running out.

    Affidavit from the university or self? Anyway I have sent my original marksheet to make the correction which would be received within 15 days. I can submit that once I receive.
    Please suggest.

    Self, school cannot attest to your true name, unless they made a mistake. Good to have it corrected regardless. Good luck.
