    Fracture tibula
    Have a hairline fracture of the tibula why was there not a cast put on

    I think you mean tibia. How old are you? Are you healthy?

    A cast is put on so that the fracture can heal.

    Hi thank you for the reply I am 55 and in good health I have no cast on and leg is sore when I walk on it

    Oh, I am sorry, I thought you said there was a cast. Usually a hairline fracture is also called a stress fracture. There is no need to place a cast as it is not a solid break. Many times these heal on their own.
