Why a rabbit should be kept INSIDE.
I'm just making a quick post as I don't want to think about this too much.

I now have a HATRED for German Shepherds.

Rabbits should NOT be kept outside. No matter how safe you think they are.

Anything can happen and I hope that all rabbits owners do not have to witness the sight I did a few hours ago.

R.I.P Diego, you will very, very missed.

Aww, that's awful! I have a canary that I take outside when it's sunny. I once went back to the house to get a drink. When I got back there was a cat staring at the poor little bird from behind a tree, ready to pounce. Thankfully nothing happened, because it ran away when it saw me. I'm very sorry about your rabbits. :(

Thank you busy bee, very much apprecited.

We had 2 rabbits in the one enclosure, Diego didn't make it but Dora managed to run behind one of ours sheds where the dog couldn't get her. We are very thankful for that.
Diego had only just had surgery and his stitches weren't even out yet.

    I feel so awful.

Dora is now inside in our laundry where she will STAY.

Oh Shaz I'm so very sorry. I wish I had words that could take away the pain, but there aren't any.

Don't hate the dog, it's in their nature to hunt, and that's what he did, it wasn't a malicious act on his part, just his instincts. I know you know that, and that right now you don't really care, but keep it in mind, don't let hate rule how you feel right now. Easier said then done I know.

Also, don't blame yourself, you had no idea this would happen. I know how much you love your bunnies, want the best for them, you are not to blame at all! Do you hear me? No blame!

It's so hard losing a fur baby, especially when you lose them to something as horrible as this. The pain will get less, really it will.

Know that I'm here if you need a shoulder to cry on. I wish that I could make it all better, and again I'm so very sorry.

Rest in Peace Diego, you were very loved.

Oh Shazzy, you're having such a rough day. I wish I could take your pain away. We are all here if ever you need us. If you want to cry it out... or if you need a diversion. We're good for both.

    Thank you Dahlia :)

I've actually just had quite a lengthy chat with Altenweg so I'm feeling a bit better...
Will still take a lot of crying and a lot of healing to get over it though.

He will always be with me in a way :)

    Thanks for asking :)
Is it bad to be feeling a lot better?
I still can't talk about it but I can think about him now without crying.
I had to move my photos into a separate folder as all my pet ones were in together...
I'll just file them away until I can look at them again :)

It's not bad that you're feeling better. Not at all.

Everyone grieves differently. I always find it sad that people who have suffered a loss think that there's a set amount of time to mourn, grieve, frown. There isn't. We all move on at our own pace, and whatever you feel is right for you.

One day you'll be able to talk about it. I told my husband what happened, he wanted me to tell you how very sorry he is.

I also told Sneezy, he was angry. Not at you, but at the GS owners. He went off on a little "if it was me I'd do this, do that, ooooh, they would pay!" But you, he also asked me to tell you how sorry he is.

Big hug sweetie. If you need to talk you know where I am. :)

Thank you Alty, you have been a HUGE help.

I couldn't talk to Vaughn because he was as upset as I was and it's always easier to type your feeling than to say them out loud.

And thank you to your hubby and to stringer :)

Thanks again, I'll probably have another chat with you soon.. hopefully my posts will make more sense next time (I honestly don't remember some of the things I said to you yesterday)

I feel bad about feeling better but at the same time I feel good because I can think about what a special little guy he was rather than trying to forget him like I was yesterday :)

    I'm glad that you're feeling better. :)

I got to run now, life, stuff to do, you know, the usual.

I'll talk to you soon sweetie. :)
