    Horror movie from late 80's or early 90's
    Hi guys, I'm looking for a horror movie from late 80's - 90's period I think. I've seen it on TV like 10 years ago, but I didn't got it from the beginning.

    The movie starts with a daughter (I think) coming home to a little town where is greeted by her mother, then go by car to the town but they can see any people walking or doing stuff. After they go looking through houses they see that almost everybody is dead or has disappeared or something. But they find some people and go hide at the police HQ or town hall where they are attacked by various things. I can't remember any more details about that part, but afterwards it's revealed that an entity live under the city, in gas fields, or something like that, and they wait for a SWAT team to come, and near the end all the people appear standing up and silent in the center of the town being controlled by that entity.

    So any ideas? :D

    This was actually based off a Dean Koontz novel of the same name.
