    IRA Rollover
Anyone here done an ira rollover of their retirement savings?

It says in the article "IRA Rollover is you taking up responsibility of your retirement savings account for upto 60 days before reinvesting it into a new retirement plan"

How did the process work? What broker did you deal with? How fast was the transaction carried out and how much fees did they charge? Thanks!

I have rolled over several times,

Normally I merely have the one company write the check directly to the new account. Regions Bank has soom good ones, as do most Investment companies.

I have had good luck with Meril Lynch Funds averaging arouind 15 percent on my investment the last few years.

I did a roll-over of my 402-K into a self directed IRA through Fidelity. There was no charge, and the transaction was virtually instantaneous. Since Fidelity had my 401-K. and wound up with my IRA, there were no checks to be written, or costs incurred. As long as you don't receive the funds from your 401-K or IRA, I believe that you should be able to move them at will, without charge or tax consequence.
