    Inquiry about an old spiritual song
    There was a song that my mother used to love - it was a record actually. All I can now remember is one verse, it says "when you hear my home going don't you worry about me. I think the name of this song is "Home Going". Has anyone heard of this song, does anyone know where I may be able to get it and does anyone know where I can get the lyrics to this song.
    I appreciate any and all assistance that you may be able to give me with this, thank you.

    I searched but could not find it. Are you sure about those lyrics? ""when you hear my home going" doesn't seem to make any sense.

    Yes I have heard of the song and still hear often. I have heard of one recording by the Mahalia Jackson. I really don't know the word all the way through but the it went something like;

    When you hear my homegoing, don't worry about me
    When you hear my homegoing, don't worry about me
    When you hear my homegoing, don't worry about me
    I'm just another solider going on home.

    If this is the song Feel free to hit me back and I can get the words
