    Parking in van nuys
    If any of you live in la you know parking sucks.I live in an apt here in van nuys and have notbeen given an assiged parking spot by my land lord when I moved in he told me that since I'm live in a studio apt I do not get a parking seemed fine for about 2 weeks the street parking was spacious.Now I can not find a spot if my life depends on it I also noticed that no other tenants were using there assigned spots the all were parking on the street .So I get off work one day and can't find parking not only on my street but all around my block I notice a few car parked inside of the parking,one of which I noticed to be my managers ****ty car he is parked illegally or in an illegal spot so tired and not using my head I block him pull right behind him not blocking anyone else but him next morning I'm up around 7am walk out to find my 1 month old infiniti gone I go strait to him he's outside with the other tenants and ask if he had my car towed he tells me he had know idea it was my car and had knocked on everyone else's door but MINE I speak with the owner not manager owner he tells me to go pick the car up and will work everything out when I get to the tow yard I notice a dent the size of a foot on the back bumper the tow truck guy gave me a picture showing both cars parked illegal and mine had a big dent.finnally the? Can I deduct the tow expense from my rent and am I allowed a parking by law and does anybody think my manager hats me my rents promt and I'm quite and clean what more can I do please reply thanks for reading I already feel better

    First, you admit you parked illegally. Ergo you have no cause to deduct the towing from your rent.

    Second, unless your lease specifies that it inlcude parking, you arre on your own. I doubt if there is a law (even in CA) that specifies that rental housing must include parking.

    Third, as for the dent, since the tow truck operator has proof that the dent was there before he towed, you don't have much option there either.
