    Please be specific - are you asking what the taxes are for withdrawing from your 401(k)? First tell us how old you are - specifically are you 55 or older? Also, please clarify that you are asking about a withdrawal from your 401(k), not from your husband's 401(k).

    You will pay regular income taxes on any withdrawals you make - this will include both federal taxes as well as state/local (if applicable where you live). If you are under 55 and withdrawing from your account you will also have to pay the 10% early withdrawal penalty. If this is a withdrawl from your husband's account he can avoid the 10% penalty if he is permanently and totally disabled.
