    Probation help
    How does one go about getting a early release from federal probation? I have a 4 year term of probation with 2 years to go. My case is in Michigan but I live in san diego. Thank you.

    Has your case been transferred to CA? If not then you should try to get it transferred immediately. The fact that you got away with moving from MI to CA speaks volumes. It doesn't sound like they want to be bothered with supervising your case too closely. Getting it transferred from MI to CA for the record may make it nothing more than a formality anyway, consisting of one or two visits and some paperwork ; no big deal.

    Don't know about probation. However, I was on federal parole. They made me do every day of it - every single day.

    I assume they transferred you to CA. The sentencing judge was in Michigan. You talk to your probation officer, he will tell you what you need to do. A few years ago the set rule for federal probation was if you did not get into any trouble, paid all of your fines, did everything you were ordered to do, they would let you go after you did half your probation. There is a document filled out and sent to the judge in Michigan to sign. Good luck
