    animated movie, possibly japanese?
    movie that I can barely remember anything about. I saw it when I was very young, less than six. I was born in 1988.

    The protagonist is a boy, I think he has dark hair and is really into music; I remember music notes appearing quite often in this movie... Maybe he wants to be a composer or conductor or something. He sort of goes into the world of music, I think to save a female character... possibly a fairy or some such thing? I think there's an epic-battle type scene at the end where he's conducting music.
