My furnace. Its off but it still keeps blowing air. Reset high temperature switch?
Ok. My old thermostat was a digital one but without batterys, and the screen didn't work (wasnt displaying anything, could not see nothing) so I went Lowe's to buy a new one just today. I turned off the furnace and the breaker when I installed it. Everything went perfectly until I went upstair to turn the furnace on. I have my heater on and its only blowing air, not cold or hot. Just air, so I went to my thermostat to turn off the furnace but nothing. The thing still keeps blowing air even when I already turned off my thermostat. The only way I can turn my furnace off is my hitting the OFF and ON switch by my furnace.

The problem is that it did this before I replaced my old thermostat. I replaced it because I thought that was the problem but nope. Its still doing the samething as it was before. I can put it on heat or ac but the thing will still blow air out, again.. not cold nor hot. Just air. Fan is on AUTO on my thermostat.

My house is fairly new. Not sure if that helps but here is the Model number of my furnace: Bryant MODEL 310AAV/JAV. I think it's a gas furnace.

Oh yeah. There was a light flashing. It was flasking 3 times quickly then 3 times slowly
(333 3 3 3) That is what it looked like.

Here is what the code reads:

33, LIMIT CIRCUIT FAULT - Indicates the limit, drath safeguard, flame rollout, or blocked vent switch (if used) is open or the furnace is operating in high-heat only mode due to 2 seccessive low heat limit trips. Blower will run for 4 minutes or until open switch remakes whichever is longer. If open longer then 3 minutes, code changes to lockout #13. If open less then 3 minutes status code #33 continues to flash until blower shuts off. Flame rollout switch and BVSS require manual reset Check for:
    -Recstricted vent
    -Excessive wind
    -loose blower wheel
    -proper vent dizing
-dirty filter or restricted duct system
    -Defective blower motor or capacitor
    -defective switch or connections
-inadequate combustion air supply (flame roll-out switch open)

Im really thankful for the help. Being a single mother of 3, it's a bit hard to pay those high repair bills.

    Thanks. Kati.

Oh yeah, Someone told me it could be that I need to reset high temperature switch. Anyone have an idea onto where this could be located?

Then with the power off tap it between the wirs with a screw driver or something gently. This limit is supposed to reset itsself but sometimes if they are over heated it will stick.

Would you happen to know where this might be located?

Should I open the furnace doors or is it in the attic?

Okay, Been looking for it for almost an hour and I think I might of found it.

There are 2 red wires connected to it and there isn't a reset button. They are two screws to the side of out. Im not sure if I should remove the screws and pull out the part. Im not sure if it's long from the back as it shows on the picture you linked me. I found it in front of my furnace.

Another thing is that its connect to the air vent. The blower is below. Here is a picture I found on the internet along with where I think it might be at.

Also, There are 2 red wires connected to something where the image above says the number 7. You can see it at the buttom of the vent there is a little device.

Okay, I hope that was the correct thing I was tapping but now the code changed to code 13.

13 LIMIT CIRCUIT LOCKUT - Lockout occurs if the limit, draft safeguard, flameroll out, ore blocked vent switch (if used) is open longer than 3 minutes or 10 seccessive limit trips occurred durning high heat.
-Control will auto reset after three hours
    -Refer to #33,

OK, I went back and heard a clicking sound if I moved each wire connected to the High limit control switch up and down glently. If it helps I can take some photos of my furnace all around.

Im REALLY grateful for all the help and thanks for hanging in there with me. Lol :)

All the other red circles is the place where I was banging with a screw driver.
