    That was okay.

I still like the classic “Back Off B--” by Guns N' Roses

I think the best song for an Ex you do miss would be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lcW3Jj_VGs

    Seether - Breakdown

    Apocalyptica - I don't care

3 Doors Down - Train (This song gets you to look toward the future)

    Sevendust - Face to Face

Mudvayne - Do What You Do

    Papa Roach - Forever

    10 Years - Beautiful

    Airborne - Runnin' Wild

I'll add more when I remember them. This list should definitely be theraputic... I know it was for me.

"Down in the gutter, dyin' in a ditch!". Great tune, my band covers that, well, we cover it all 'cause it's a GNR tribute band. "Breakdown" and "You're Crazy" are two other good GNR break-up songs.

I always end up listening to punkrock and hardcore when a girl splits. Mine is "Chip on My Shoulder" by Slapshot.

And when I find that new girl, "New Rose" by The Damned or "Suffragette City" by David Bowie

Wow this is a really nice break up song~ Makes me feel better =P

    Kelly Clarkson - Break Away

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j9hj-_GtrI

Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I'd just stare out my window
    Dreaming of what could be
And if I'd end up happy
I would pray (I would pray)

    Trying hard to reach out
But when I tried to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
    Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I prayed I could break away

    [Chorus:]
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
    And I'll make a wish
    Take a chance
    Make a change
    And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I love
    I'll take a risk
    Take a chance
    Make a change
    And breakaway

Want to feel the warm breeze
    Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
    Get onboard a fast train
Travel on a jet plane, far away (I will)
    And breakaway

    [Chorus]

    Buildings with a hundred floors
    Swinging around revolving doors
Maybe I don't know where they'll take me but
Got to keep moving on, moving on
    Fly away, breakaway

    I'll spread my wings
And I'll learn how to fly
Though it's not easy to tell you goodbye
I got to take a risk
    Take a chance
    Make a change
    And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget the place I come from
I got to take a risk
    Take a chance
    Make a change
    And breakaway, breakaway, breakaway

Oh, artlady. "I Can't Make You Love Me" makes me cry all the time, even when NOT going through a breakup. :)

    A sad one:
Anna Nalick - "Wreck of the Day"

    A motivating one:
    Christina Aguilera - "Fighter"

    An amusing one:
Ben Folds Five - "Song for the Dumped"

Ever heard of Love Kills by Freddy Mercury, not a break up song but it nails it about how Love can screw people over.

    I can't believe I forgot this... I take whatever I said back.

The all-time best break-up song: "Run for You Life" by the Beatles

"Well I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or you won't know where I am"

Oh, an' we're both tired of fightin' anyway,
    So just give it away.

    Sugarland "Stay"
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIyxkZod2cM
    why dont you stay
    im up off my knees
im so tired of being lonely
you can't give me what i need
when she begs you not to go
there is one thing you should know
i dont have to live this way
    baby why dont you stay
