    Personal fundraiser
I am a single parent to my high school daughter, she is wanting to be in cheerleading. I went to the meeting last night only to find out they have no scholarship programs or fundraisers for people who can not afford it its over 1600. For her to be a cheerleader. While this my not be significant to others it is very much to her and I because I made a lot of bad choices when I was her age and she is on a great path in life and living in So.Cali its hard with all the crazy things that goes on in these schools so for her wanting to be a part of her school in this way I think its great. Are there any individual type of fundraisers or any ideas one can offer to help raise the money? I am clueless on what to do? She is a great daughter and I want to give her what I can but this one is so out of my reach.

$1600 seems like a lot. What does the money go toward?

Maybe you could host a party at your house. People have candle parties, jewelry parties, sex toy parties, etc. the way they used to have Tupperware parties. You would probably only make a couple hundred, but it's a start.

Here is a link to one of the candle companies: Northern Lights at Home - Quality Candles, Unique Accessories, Work from Home, Ground Floor Opportunity!

A small local organization has asked our 501C3 organization to join in the publication of a business directory listing members of both organizations that are small business owners. Businesses would pay to be listed. Is this a permissible activity for a charity?
