    Patent amortization
    I want to know;
    What is meant by patent amortization?
    Is it direct or indirect cost?
    If it is an expense then is it dirct or indirect

    A patent is an ASSET.
    We usually depreciate fixed assets like
    Equipment.
    In the case of patents, we amortize then by the efflixion of time.
    It is an indirect cost.
    The expense appears as an indirect
    Profit and Loss expense.
