    Laptop advice
    I am looking to buy a new laptop in the next few days. The main use of the laptop will be running design programs, such as ProEngineering, and the sort for my uni course. Also though it needs to be able to play modern games such as Battlefield 2. I have read comparisons of processors and video cards and it turns out the two laptops I have narrowed it down to have one thing that is good and one bad, and the other has one bad and one good.

    So, advice please;
    The descriptions are in Dutch, if you can't figure out what they are please ask and I'll translate.

    I need advice on which is best, and why, for my purposes. If you would be so kind as to offer assistance of course.

    I'm a hugh fan of AMD processors. However, the new Core 2 Duo processors just cannot be beat. Especially for a laptop, as they have tremendous power management capabilities.

    Here's a review of the Turion chip:

    And here's a review of the Core 2 Duo chip:

    Which ever you buy, they are both great processors. Looks like the VAIO also has twice the video RAM of the ASUS, and that will help with the design programs and games alike. While the VAIO has a smaller hard drive, it runs faster and that will make a noticeable difference as well. I say for your needs, the VAIO is the best choice.
