Wost case , Ok worst case

They send him to adult court, not Juv court, he is given up to 5 years in prison, does not behave and does not get any parole. Upon getting out he will still have a 10,000 fine to pay off plus any damage plus interest on the value to the car.

    Now that is worst,
Most likely he will be given ordered to take counseling ( he has to pay for it) there will be a large ( very large) fine to pay and he will get about 5 years probation including drug tests.

While there are some jerks that may think you a bad mom, no even from the best homes some kids just do wrong. It is often the peer pressure they get into, and normally while I know you don't want to hear this, drugs will have a place in this somewhere, often when personality changes.

    Hello again, laurie:

This is the legal board. You get legal advice here. If you want to know if people think you're a bad mom, post that question in the parenting category.

There's no way to tell what will happen to your son. There's many, many factors that go into that decision, and at this point in time, THAT decision is NOT written in stone.

That means that the outcome CAN be effected by the actions taken NOW. The FIRST action, should be to hire a lawyer.

He will be entailed to a legal aid if you can't afford a lawyer.Do you know what day he has to be in court, the lawyer can try and help him be released from Juvi then .Then you and the lawyer can take it from there. If he is being charged as a Juvi, that helps a lot. See if it's possibly to speak to a legal aid before time.

He will not be released ( if they did not release him to you on the first day) until he goes to court.
