Annoying Notifications in Vista IE about Active X
My father-in-law just bought a Dell Studio laptop running Windows Vista. Almost every time I visit a web page, new or old, an annoying notification keeps popping up. It reads "Do you want to allow software such as ActiveX controls and plug-ins to run?" How do I stop this notification?

Click on tools, internet options, security tab and click on the Custom Level button

-Go down till you see activex controls

Automatic prompting for activex control - set to disable
Turn activex controls + plugins - set to enable

Do this only if you want to as it is set to prompt you for security reasons - but it is users discretion
