    Above groud pool side wall
    Hi,

I have an above ground pool and the side where the return is there is a lot of rust. The whole in the side of the pool for the return is rusting away. The whole is growing. I am afraid that the return will not hold up this summer. How can I patch the whole with out taken the linner out and removing the whole pool?

    Thanks

You don't have to drain the whole pool for a repair but you do need to drop the level down to a few inches below the problem area. If you actually did drain the pool you'd likley ned to replace the liner since they shrink and get brittle. Get yourself s heet of aluminium or galvanized sheet metal. Cut a patch that will be laid between the rusting pool wall and liner. Make sure all edges are not sharp and well filed. Insert the patch and adhere with expoxy. Your pool walls do not have too many more years before it will be beyond repair.
