    Strides in riding
    How do you count strides in horse back riding in trot ?

    Hi, again, Horses, after investigating that site further 'Pony Club' I did a little more digging and found out some things I didn't know. This will be more helpful, so hope you come back on:

    Normal horses take 4 steps

    Big strided horses about 4 1/2-5 steps

    Remember 2 steps for landing and 2 steps for take off with all horses. (So for a one stride with an average horse it would be 8 steps-not just 4)
