Need to file mutual fund income <$10?
    Dear All,

I am an International student in my F1 visa. Please be noted that I file my tax as a US citizen since tax year 2007.

I have 2 mutual funds from the same mutual fund company. I made about $0.75 and $1.55, respectively, from the 2 funds in 2008. The mutual fund company did not send me any tax document as my earnings is less than $10 combined.

Question: Do I need to report the income on my tax form?

    Thank you very much!

    Regards,
    Piggley

    Piggley:

You CAN report it if you want to, but it is NOT required, as the resultant income is only $3, which likely will NOT affect your tax owed.
