Sorry to dig up an old thread but I just wanted to say thanks to Milo Dolezal for the instructions on how to remove the faucet. I spent 45 minutes trying to figure it out and then happened to stumble here. Thanks again.

Is there anything special I should know about removing a kitchen faucet? Can I use a putty knife to remove the old caulking and then simply remove it? That is after I've unscrewed the lines.
