    I'm going to be honest with you. I don't recommend that you pierce it yourself. I am speaking from experience. I am 14, and my parents wouldn't sign for me to get it pierced profesionally, so I pierced it myself. Before I did this I looked up all of the health risks. I was fully aware of what could happen, but I was hard headed. I hated reading comments where people said not to pierce it yourself. So I pierce my own, with a safety pin. I know that sounds extremely stupid, but I couldn't find a store that sold piercing needles. So the hole ended up being too small for the belly ring. So I left the safety pin in for about two hours, and within the two hours, my belly got infected, and I had to take it out. Get it done professionally, is all I'm saying.
